CLOSED: Director of Communications and Marketing

One Utah Health Collaborative is currently seeking to hire a Community Liaison Director to lead a new private-public partnership to transform Utah’s health ecosystem.

Collaborative Description

The Collaborative is a community-owned asset, serving as a lever to transform healthcare in Utah by 1) motivating community leaders to change by being a steward to unified goals and a roadmap for healthcare transformation, and 2) accelerating, enabling, and promoting innovation. This simultaneous top-down and bottom-up approach will maximize the influence the Collaborative will have on accelerating healthcare transformation. In addition to the key components of reducing costs, improving outcomes, and increasing health equity, the Collaborative will be guided by three overarching principles: Collaboration, Innovation, and Accountability. The Collaborative’s vision is for Utah to be the national leader in cost-efficient, innovative healthcare, thereby strengthening our economic competitiveness and supporting a high quality of life for all Utahns.

Work Performed and Job Requirements

o Oversee and manage the creation of the Collaborative’s webpage, social media content, digital advertising campaigns, newsletters, marketing materials, community events, media relations, and reports; all designed to build awareness of the Collaborative’s vision, projects, and achievements.

o Serves as an active and visible presence in the community and works closely with other professional, civic, and private organizations.

o Creation, implementation and monitoring of communications plans, progress reports, data collection, and analytic reports for projects of various sizes and degrees of complexity.

o Practices shared decision-making with community members and incorporates collaborative communication around health needs, innovation, and equity.

o Serves as subject matter expert, in coordination with the Executive Director and Innovations Program Director, on the Collaborative’s mission and objectives.

o Provides advice, implementation plans, and/or suggestions for improvement according to program objectives. o Written content creation as needed.

o Administrative duties such as lead vendor contracting, communications and marketing budget tracking, scheduling project and team related meetings.

Education/Training

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field. An MBA, MHA, MPA, or master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred.

Experience

Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years, or Master's degree with 2+ years, in a similar professional position with a proven track record of successful marketing and communications leadership. Ideally, holds experience in healthcare payment and delivery including, but not limited to policy, administration, operations, finance, and/or research.

o Proven abilities in data collection and reporting.

o Big picture thinking with mindfulness.

o High level proficiency in Microsoft Office.

o High level strategic thinking and planning.

o Exceptional written, oral, and people skills.

Work Aids and Equipment Used

Computer, printer, copier, scanner, phone, web conferencing.

Working Conditions

Work is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment. Frequent travel to client sites and the Collaborative office. Involves frequent contact with staff and clients. Work may be stressful at times.

Physical/Mental Demands

Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, climbing, and bending to files and supplies; mobility to complete errands; stand/sit for up to eight hours each day; ability to communicate clearly when using the telephone; requires sitting; standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and twisting at times; moderate levels of stress.

Salary Range

Salary range is an estimate. Actual salary is commensurate with experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
